One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is getting to meet my families’ newest members. I adore working with this sweet family and when they let me know they were expecting again and wanted a newborn session, I was so excited! I couldn’t wait to see their newest member of the family. They welcomed a beautiful baby girl this year and we planned a lifestyle newborn session in their Dover, MA home.
Dover MA Lifestyle Newborn Session
The day of our session turned out to be very cloudy, but their home has such beautiful windows – so it was easy to find enough light in their bedroom and nursery. I met them in their home, where mom’s cousin and the baby’s nanny were also present. It was so nice to meet more of their wonderful family!! Their oldest daughter was not happy about having a new little sister, and she actually slept most of the session. It’s hard to be the oldest!! I reassured their sweet (and tired!) parents it was very normal and okay that she was upset. We let her get some rest!
Once things quieted down, we were able to focus on their new baby girl. She enjoyed lots of snuggles with her wonderful parents in her nursery and even on their bed. She was a bit fussy at first, but eventually quieted down. Another very normal occurrence during newborn sessions! She looked so perfect with her little pink bow and simple onesie. We made sure to swaddle her, which helped her to relax and we were able to capture some truly special moments for this amazing family!
