Photographing newborn sessions at home is one of my favorite ways to spend a day. I love seeing new families adjust to life at home, with their precious little one. Plus, I get to see some really beautiful nurseries, meet some sweet fur babies, and get to know lots of very special parents. This lifestyle newborn session in this Dedham nursery was definitely one of those special sessions. During the summer, I came to photograph these sweet parents and their new baby girl (and fur baby!) at home. It wound up being a pretty easy commute since they live in the same town I do, and it was a beautiful summer session.

The day I came to photograph these four at home was pretty hot. You never know with the summer how warm it will be! But, we still managed to photograph the family both inside and outside. It was a great way to get a variety of portraits for their new baby girl. She was so sweet the whole session, snuggling quietly with her parents. Her big sister (their dog!) was super attentive, wanting to keep an eye on her and being mindful of where she was everywhere we went. It was adorable!! Mom and dad chose the perfect outfits for their session. I absolutely loved the pink gown her mom had on. It flowed well, and was super comfy – that’s key for parents during a newborn session, especially moms who have just given birth!!
