Cozy At Home Newborn Portraits in Canton MA

I am so lucky to have been able to watch this family grow over the last few years! When their first daughter was born, I photographed newborn portraits and then family portraits last spring for Mother’s Day. At that time, the family was beginning to prepare for their next daughter’s arrival. Now, she’s here! I got to visit this sweet and capture their at home newborn portraits in Canton, MA this year. It’s so exciting to see them as a family of four now.

At Home Newborn Portraits in Canton MA

This at home newborn session was done in January and we had the most beautiful sunny day! With all of the sunlight, their apartment was super well lit. It’s such a gorgeous space to begin with and with the light filtering in, I was thrilled with the space I had to work in! Seriously, this family has a stunning home!! When I first arrived, their oldest daughter wasn’t sure about what was going on. She was shy – which isn’t uncommon – and didn’t really want her photo taken. I let her warm up to me over the session and then, by the end, we were golden! She was all giggly and ready to be photographed. It was the sweetest.

Her little sister, on the other hand, was content to snooze away in her mom and dad’s arms. No matter what happens with your baby during newborn portraits, we’ll capture photos you’ll treasure forever – but a happily sleeping baby is always a dream come true! Since she slept so well, we moved around the living room some. I love their big couch and colorful bookshelves. We also captured a few posed portraits in the master bedroom, with some gorgeous purple wraps and accents for this sweet girl!
