Family Portraits at Home in Dedham MA

This family is one of my favorites! I’ve photographed them at home in Dedham MA for the last few years. I remember when their little boy started to explore and their little girl came home for the first time. I’ve been able to capture their growing family over the last few years and it’s been such a special journey. I found out that they’re going to be moving to Atlanta, so this fall family session at their home in Dedham was bittersweet. I’m going to miss them so much!

I always love photographing families at home. There’s something really beautiful about creating images that showcase where you love and feel most relaxed. Knowing that this family is moving, it was important to me to capture what they love most about their house and the gardens. They always decorate for fall but I love how simple and understated everything is. Their outfits were so perfect against all of the fall colors and decorations, too!

This year, I got to meet their new puppy. It was a bit emotional since I lost my own dog this summer. But, it was fun to see the kids playing with their new dog. He’s adorable and was such a good sport, too! There’s nothing better than photos at home – with your furry friend. To this sweet family, thank you for trusting me for the last few years. Photographing you all has been a truly wonderful experience and I will miss you all deeply!
