This sweet new family’s lifestyle newborn session was a joy to photograph! There was just something so swoon-worthy about their session! Even though their baby was not into photos, his mom and dad were and that made all the difference. Unlike some parents who get really worried and anxious when their baby cries, they stayed really calm and cool during our session. Parents, I’m telling you, I’ve seen it all! Please don’t worry! It’s clear how much they love each other and their new addition! Even their cat and dog had sweet personalities. I absolutely loved spending time with them all!
And their house?! Oh my gosh! It was so full of charm. With a cozy nursery set up for their sweet baby, it felt like we were in Hansel and Gretel’s story! Their nursery had a great woodsy vibe with some nods of boho chic inspiration. It was seriously gorgeous! Even if their new little guy wasn’t thrilled about having his photo taken, in an incredible room like that, these newborn portraits were pretty easy. I think we even managed some really sweet shots despite his upset.
Lifestyle Newborn Sessions
I absolutely love lifestyle newborn sessions at home. Like all of my sessions, I follow the baby (or children)’s lead. I let their behavior, needs, and comfort levels drive the session. My style isn’t like other newborn photographers – it’s just not my style! By encouraging a more relaxed session, we create images that are more natural and explain your family’s story in a different way. Being comfortable and relaxed is definitely a benefit of an in-home session! By following the baby’s lead, I’m able to capture some truly beautiful portraits of your new baby!!
