This beautiful Boston Public Gardens family portrait session was a dream come true! Mom found me in the directory of the NAPCP when she decided that it made sense to have family portraits on their trip from New Jersey. Their entire family was invited to a Bar Mitzvah in Boston – and a formal one, at that. She decided since everyone would be all dressed up anyway, it would be the perfect time for some new family portraits. And I couldn’t agree more! Their Boston Public Gardens family session was just perfect.
I arrived at Boston Public Gardens for our session about half an hour before we were set to meet. Unfortunately my heart sank! Although weather in New England can be unpredictable, I never would have guessed we were going to have the park covered in fog! I couldn’t see anything more than 2 feet ahead of me and it had gotten SUPER cold too! But thankfully, my clients brought the sun with them. The moment they arrived, the sky opened back up and the sun shone brightly – like nothing had ever happened! We lucked out with such beautiful weather for our session after that.
As soon as everyone arrived, I was grinning ear to ear. How could I not?! Mom looked like a superstar in her gorgeous pink gown (and it stood out perfectly against the greens of the gardens!). And her husband and her two boys looked awesome in their tuxes. Although the boys took a little time to warm up to me – which I expected! – we had a great time once they were into everything. They were all smiles and they listed so well, so it made my job easy! It’s clear to see they have an incredible relationship with their dad too! Everyone was happy but those boys definitely love Dad!
