I’m so happy I got to see this beautiful family again for fall portraits this year. Last year, we met up at Arnold Arboretum for a gorgeous spring family photo session. It was a dream session and I even got to meet Grandma since she was in town. Since then, this family has welcomed their little girl to the world. I was so excited when mom reached out about booking new family portraits. We decided on a fall portrait session at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA… and I think it turned out pretty perfectly!

The day of our session was truly a perfect fall afternoon. We lucked out with great weather and beautiful light the entire session. September is a great month for fall family photos – the wether is always great and perfect for families who have little ones. It’s not too cold that they’re fidgeting or uncomfortable! Of course, this family also dressed beautifully for the season – leaning into sweaters, layers, and a great color palette for the fall. That’s another little trick for cooler fall portraits: layer up so everyone is comfortable and happy!
Their little guy wasn’t a huge fan of photos the day of their session, but with enough snuggles and jokes, we got some smiles out of him. HIs little sister, on the other hand, was all smiles and laughs for us. She was very curious about the big camera in her face! One of the things I love most about this particular session is the amazing interactions we got between everyone. I loved watching mom and dad with their two babies. You can tell there’s so much love and happiness here!
