I’m so happy we were finally able to capture these summer family portraits at Arnold Arboretum! This sweet family won a session with me from Mount Alvernia Academy, which is where my boys used to attend. It’s still so special to be connected with a place that means a lot to my family! Anyway, this family won their session and we planned to meet at Arnold Arboretum to capture their portraits. But, unfortunately the weather had other ideas! We had to reschedule several times before we could create this magic for this beautiful family of five!
Summer Family Portraits: Arnold Arboretum
The day of our session turned out to be so humid (not that can you tell in our final photos!). But, thankfully everyone was really relaxed and willing to push through for me. The girls were all amazing and it turns out, they loved to be photographed! Honestly, when little ones (and not so little ones!) like being photographed, it makes my job way easier. No matter what, we’ll have fun and capture beautiful photos – but there’s something really great that happens when everyone is having a great time and wants to be photographed!
One of the things I loved most about their summer family portraits at Arnold Arboretum was their outfit choices! Arnold Arboretum is always beautiful – and in the summer, there’s a lot of green – from the grass to the trees. This family landed into bright pops of summer colors and I think it worked so well in the natural landscapes of the arboretum!
Congratulations again to this family – and I hope to see you all again! Enjoy your time at the academy – I know we did!
