One thing I love about fall family portrait season is that I get to see some of my favorite families over and over again. This family is one I’ve worked with for a few years now, and I was SO excited when I scheduled their session on my calendar this year. Last year, we met up at Larz Anderson Park for their family session. It was a super fall inspired session – throwing leaves included. This year, we decided on Boston Public Garden for their session. I absolutely love photographing sessions here, even if it requires a little extra patience (since it’s so popular!).
Public Garden Family Portraits
While we captured their beautiful portraits, we had fun catching up. I was saddened to learn they had lost their French bulldog this year. When I work with clients again and again like this, they truly become my friends. We talked about all of the other things that have happened this year, too. I can’t believe they’ve been in Boston now for four years! It feels like we just had our first session together yesterday! Every single one of them is just so much fun.
We lucked out with a beautiful evening in Boston for their portraits. It was warm (always a plus with kids!) and we had a gorgeous sunset to boot. Although the park was super busy, we managed to capture all the shots we wanted – including one on the bridge. It’s a very popular and crowded spot but with some patience, their Public Garden family portraits were a success! I can’t wait to see which images they choose to display at home – and I already can’t wait for their next session!
