I’m so excited to be sharing these sweet lifestyle newborn portraits in Dedham, MA, with you today! This darling little girl was absolutely adorable our entire session, and her parents were amazing, too. I love how simple this session was – a white sheet and this new baby girl in a white onesie so that we could focus on her little expressions and tiny features.

Like most parents, they were worried about their baby not “cooperating” or behaving during their session and that we wouldn’t be able to capture the images they wanted. But she was amazing! Honestly, all babies are. I always follow their lead, and we don’t push them if they need breaks to eat or rest. That’s the beauty of newborn sessions! This little girl was so easy to photograph, and we just made sure to take breaks as we needed.
I am still so happy with how simple these images were. They really allow heralding her sweet expressions to shine! One of the things I loved was while her parents didn’t want to be in the images, they liked the idea of their hands around her, so we leaned into that, and they’re some of my favorite images! We had a lovely day (even though we were inside, the light still matters!) to work with. It was cloudy, so the light was constantly changing. Luckily everyone was patient as we readjusted and continued to work to capture more of their images.
