I love summertime sessions because I get to see so many of my current clients, but I also get to meet new ones: like this sweet family! They contacted me in February to book a spring session with me. I was glad we could find time for their spring portraits because the fall session they wanted had filled quickly! We decided to meet at Arnold’s Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, MA for their photos and I’m so happy we did.

The day of our session was absolutely lovely. The weather was gorgeous – and the park wasn’t too crowded. It made our time together just perfect! These four are so adorable together and I loved that they were able to relax, enjoy some nice weather, and be together. Everyone got to laugh, play, and explore Arnold Arboretum. They’re all super easy going, so the entire session just felt like a fun afternoon together. That’s how I want all family sessions to be: relaxing, enjoyable, and fun!
Mom and Dad planned the perfect spring outfits. I think the white and tan outfits with pops of black (like Mom’s ribbon) really stood out well among the high grass and greenery around us. The kids were amazing listeners for me – willing to pose and happy to play when I encouraged them to. Older kids can be such a joy to work with because we’re able to really just focus on the photos and not worry about making them laugh or smile (though I do love working with my babies!!). I’m so happy with the final results of these spring photos in Arnold Arboretum and I hope that this beautiful family will treasure them forever!
