I LOVE photographing generational family portraits. There’s always something so magical about having all of a family together in a room – or on the street. It’s incredibly special for everyone there, but also for me, knowing that I’m creating memories that will last a lifetime. My sweet friend asked me if I would capture a session of her and her family at her home in Boston this year. The session was extra special because one of her sisters lives in Mexico. She was visiting and it was a pretty quick trip, but they knew they had to document it all!
Generational Family Portraits
Since these beautiful sisters live apart most of the year, they were all very excited to be able to capture these portraits. So was their mom! From the moment I arrived at their Boston home, it was obvious how excited they were to just be together. All of the women looked incredible – definitely thanks to my friend who is an amazing makeup artist in the area! They all looked on point!! We set up a fun blue backdrop for some of the photos which really made their cream and white sweaters pop. The rest of the photos were taken in their beautiful living room, which also had lots of blues and whites. I love a good color palette like this!!
