Last Saturday, October 13th, the PRC hosted the PRC Benefit Action 2012 at the 808 Gallery at Boston University. This event was an exciting opportunity for the photography, art, collecting and galleries community of New England to meet together and celebrate this Boston based cultural institution. Since 1976, the PRC has been a leading force in fine art photography both regionally and nationally. I was privileged to photograph this event together with the long experienced photographer Robert Hunt. It was all about art and photography that night. The guests could enjoy the live jazz music by the Mark Zaleski Trio, delicious hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a curator led tour of the live auction photographs by Francine Weiss, PRC’s new Curator & Loupe Editor.
In the list of featured artists we could find outstanding photographers like Lynn Saville, Shelby Lee Adams, Dominic Chavez, Rania Matar, Aaron Siskind, Constantne Manos, and Olivia Parker. I was extremely proud of participating in this event with a little contribution: Tradición, 2012. My first photograph participating in an exhibition!
