Working with the same families year after year is probably the biggest blessing in being a Boston family photographer. I’ve worked with this family for several years now and I love every session we do together. I wish that was an understatement, but they always bring their A-game to our portraits and it makes my job super fun. In the past few years, we’ve met in Brookline, the Boston Public Garden, and the Bradley Estate. This year, we chose to capture their family at Old Manse in Concord, MA. Although they live in Needham, we decided this would be a beautiful option for fall portraits this year!

I know I say this every year, but I’m amazed at how big the kids are! Next year, they’ll be teenagers! It’s crazy to me. I love seeing them every year and hearing about what’s going on. It definitely feels like I’m working with friends now, not just new clients. We’re all more comfortable and it shows in the final portraits. Everyone in this group is so easy going and fun to work with. They truly make my job so easy! Not to mention, they nailed it again with their outfits!! Their mom is an interior designer so she always knows how to pick outfits that work well together with the space we’re photographing them at. They really leaned into the fall palette this session – and I loved it.
This year, Grandma was visiting the family. So, she joined for a couple of portraits. I love when I can photograph grandparents as well! There’s something special about capturing that extra generation in a client’s session. I hope that they’ll treasure these portraits for years to come.
