The best part of capturing family photos in the summer has to be that I get to work on the beach a lot! I love exploring all of the little spots we have surrounding Boston. This spot in Swammpscott MA is one of my favorites! I was so happy that this sweet family of four agreed to having their session here this summer. It wound up being the perfect spot for new portraits!
Swampscott MA Beach Family Photos
Before our session, I checked the low tide calendar – it was crucial for this session! This little beach is tiny and it would have been very difficult to shoot with high tide. I’m glad that I made the time to check before their session so I knew we had time to work. Either way, I love this spot so much! The kids had a blast running through the water and getting to climb on the rocks. As a photographer, I love the variety that the beach provides. We were able to capture some beautiful pulled back portraits, with the sun and sky as they walked along the water. Then, we could also do some portraits closer in on their interactions along the rocks. The beach gave me lots of great options to play with!
This sweet family was a joy to work with, too! They were all just amazing and easy going. We had a lot of fun laughing and playing in the water that night. Plus, they picked a great color palette for their outfits and I adore how they worked together. With the beautiful sunset we got, the navy and white combo looked amazing!
