I’ve said it before: I love working with families over and over again. It’s really special to be able to get to know them and it makes our sessions even more fun. When I’ve worked with someone before, everything just feels so easy. We’re super comfortable and we get to have an enjoyable time together – not only updating their photos but simply catching up as friends. Given that I’m a family photographer (and a mom!), I also love seeing my clients’ kids grow up. That’s why it was so special to see this beautiful family again this summer! We usually meet up in the fall for new family photos. But, this year they wanted to mix it up! So, we planned a gorgeous Marshfield beach family portrait session – I’m in love with how it all turned out!
Marshfield Family Portraits on the Beach
I have to admit, I was a little nervous when we arrived to the beach. It was pretty cloudy – which can be nice for me, to help avoid harsh shadows. But, I know many families love the clear views on the beach and it can definitely impact sunset. But, this sweet family was amazing – and didn’t mind the overcast weather. I actually love the mood it created in some of their early photos. Plus, by the end of our session we had a beautiful sunset!! So, it all worked out just fine!
The kids were absolutely adorable! I loved watching them interact – it’s extra special because I’ve seen them grow up for the last few years. Their little boy is getting more playful and had lots of jokes to share with me. It helped keep everyone laughing – including me! Thankfully the kids still wanted to hang out together, so we were able to capture some pretty natural moments between them around the beach. I know their parents will treasure those portraits forever! I’m so glad we decided to mix up this year’s family portraits! I love this Marshfield beach session and I hope you will too!
