Fall Family Portraits at Larz Anderson

One of the most important things about running my photography business is truly connecting and creating change in our community. That’s why when I find organizations like Shooting Touch, I can’t help but want to contribute. This year, I donated a session to Shooting Touch’s gala celebration and because of that, I had the chance to meet and work with this beautiful family! They won my session this year and we planned a fall family portrait session at Larz Anderson Park this summer. I can’t wait for you to see all of their beautiful portraits! I’m ecstatic this incredible organization brought us together.

Shooting Touch

Before we get into their photos, I want to share more about Shooting touch! From their website, “Founded in 2007, Shooting Touch utilizes an award-winning, beneficiary-driven sport-for-social-development model that invests in youth and women of color by providing increased access to physical activity and health education and interventions that encourage healthy habits and future personal development.” The organization has grown from a program here in Boston to a worldwide organization that has now served over 200,000 youth and women.

Fall Family Portraits at Larz Anderson

This sweet family was a joy to work with for their fall family portraits at one of my favorite parks, Larz Anderson! We met up at this Brookline park for their sunset session and truly couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The entire family is super energetic, sporty and active, so they made our session lots of fun. While we walked and worked, I got to learn more about them all. They’ve lived in many different states for Dad’s work with the NBA – and Seattle is really their “home”. But, they moved to Boston about 7 years ago and have loved it. I’m so happy to hear that! They live in Dover currently – with their chickens. I think that’s so fun.

We had a beautiful day for their portraits and I’m honestly just still in love with how they came out. I hope that we’ll stay in touch and I’m thrilled that Shooting Touch brought us together!
