One of the things I love most about my job is working with families, like this sweet one, who are growing – and allow me to continue capturing their memories. This couple is expecting their second baby this April, so I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their Dedham MA winter maternity session. I’ve been working with them since their first baby’s newborn session and then every fall since for a family session. It’s truly a joy to watch their family grow – and help them document every step of the way.
Winter Maternity Session in Dedham MA
We planned their session for the beginning of February. That time of year it’s usually bitter cold here in Boston, and I prayed for mild weather. Turns out, our prayers were heard! We still got the snow that mom wanted, but luckily it wasn’t super super cold. I’m so thankful! In fact, it was warm the day of our session, which just made everything else easier. Mom looked absolutely stunning in the green velvet gown she chose – especially paired with the flower crown. I think it was a perfect outfit against the white winter backdrop.
Every session I’ve done with this beautiful family has been at their home and garden, even during the fall. I wasn’t surprised when they mentioned the view behind their home would be perfect in the winter. It absolutely was.
