Extended Family Portraits at Rexhame Beach

I absolutely love the chance to photograph extended families when I get the chance. There’s something special about knowing that the group isn’t always together and that they wanted to document the fact that they were. This beautiful family’s extended family portraits at Rexhame Beach were just like that. One of the three grown children lives in Quincy MA near his parents and his two sisters live out in California. So the fact that they were all here on the East Coast was so special!

Extended Family Portraits at Rexhame Beach

Of course, we had a super rainy weekend when their session was scheduled. Since two of the families in our portraits were visiting, we didn’t have a lot of options for rescheduling their session. Thankfully, it turned out we didn’t have rain at Rexhame Beach so we were good to go! It was a little overcast, but it kept things from getting too hot, so I can’t complain!

During their portraits, we made sure to capture everyone together since it was special that they were all together and we also captured each family alone, too. The kids were all great for me – we played some games. Everyone had a lot of fun! And at the end of our session, I managed to get the whole group to stick their feet in the water. Lots of laughs and giggles were happening – what a perfect way to end our portraits.
