Welcoming a new baby home is always such an exciting moment. I love when clients ask me to come document their big life change! This sweet family was referred to me by another client of mine. I am thankful for their referral because this family is SO sweet!  I was welcomed so graciously into their home for their lifestyle newborn portrait session this summer. We were able to capture their baby girl’s first days at home.

They welcomed their baby girl this summer, in August. And although it was hot and sunny the day of our session, you’d never know it! Honestly, I LOVE summer sessions. There’s something about the summer light that is just gorgeous… especially coming through big windows into a home full of love. Baby girl slept so soundly for us during their lifestyle newborn session that I was able to try a variety of poses to make sure we captured the cutest portraits of her! We spent parts of the session in her parents’ bedroom and then in the living room. Their home was so beautiful and had the perfect lighting for their portraits. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous going into their session because I broke my ankle this summer, and this was the first session I photographed after breaking it. But I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
