This fall, I started an exciting new endeavor for my business: Fine Art School Photography! It has been a joy to photograph these sweet children at their schools locally. By working with a small business like myself, these schools and parents are able to receive custom, boutique portraits of their adorable children! Today, I’m sharing some of the images I took at one of the preschools in Needham, MA. I hope other parents and other schools might be able to get a feel for what working with me might be like!
For these preschools, I complete all of the portraits in one day. With the support of some amazing teachers, everything went really smoothly on site. So, I was able to concentrate on these adorable kids! They were a blast to work with. Just wait until you see all of the expressions and personalities that came through their portraits!!! Because I’m not a big corporation, I am able to set these sessions up the way I always run my work with children.
I never force a smile and simply aim to capture the essence of the children I photograph. No awkward poses or faces, just the authentic child, on the day I happen to be there. Because of this, I’m able to take some beautiful timeless portraits that are a far cry from the traditional school photos we’re all accustomed to. You know the ones I mean… bright flashes, unflattering backgrounds – and the messed up hair on every kid. I take pride in creating an environment that allows your child to be themselves!
Fine Art School Photography
If you’re a school thinking about having me come to capture portraits this year, please book several months in advance! I only take on a few schools every year so that I can provide stellar service to each one. After shooting the portraits, I am a completely online operation for your families. They will be able to view anywhere from 2-5 images in a password protected gallery. Then they can decide which they want printed. As a custom, fine art photographer, I offer custom print products like wrapped canvases in addition to digital downloads and standard prints.
