This sweet family in Weston, MA had their first baby girl in early January and I was so excited to be welcomed into their home for their lifestyle newborn session. I told these sweet parents about my own snow baby during our lifestyle session, who born in the middle of January… 20 years earlier! Little Baby R. was adorable during our session. She was very sweet and super cuddly with her parents until the very end, when she started to get a little cranky. But, who wouldn’t? Being that cute is hard!
On top of having a new baby, this family is also going through some major renovations in their beautiful home. Because of that, a lot of our session was spent in their foyer and master bedroom. It’s a great reminder that no matter what the circumstances, we can and will find amazing light to use during your session! Lifestyle sessions are about celebrating your family in your home, so it’s important that we use the space we have. I loved and appreciated how flexible everyone was during this session. We all worked to make sure Baby R. was comfortable, as it’s really chilly around the renovated house right now. But she was really comfortable with mom and dad!
Like all new parents, these two were a little tired. I totally get it! Being a new parent is exhausting, so it means a lot to me when families ask me to come to their homes in these early days to capture these memories for them. In the blur of bringing a new baby home, the early days and moments fade very fast. I hope that this beautiful new family enjoys their portraits for years to come!
