It has been an incredible family portraits season this year! I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and capture many beautiful families this past fall season, but I felt in love in particular with this amazing family. They remind me a lot our family just a few years ago when our kids were still that little. Exactly at the same age, I took some family portraits from our entire family in Germany and we still treasure those images in the bottom of our hearts. Yes. Time flies. The babies and toddlers of those years are now teenagers and older kids. Since we moved to Boston years ago, we can’t join all those family reunions, and we miss them a lot, especially at this time of the year.
I enjoyed photographing the Downey family at their home in Dedham, MA. The weather was fantastic, the light was hitting the trees beautifully at the background of the yard, the toddlers were playing and running around, and I loved to hear all those giggles! I arrived on time and was greet at the door by an adorable little girl and a beautiful big yellow Labrador. She brought me to the garden where everybody was excited waiting for me. Some of the kids were shy, some other curious and other very chatty! 🙂 After we warmed up a little bit, I start photographing every family individually, and I was completely in “aweeeee” mode for the rest of the afternoon! Thank you, Anne, for a wonderful photo session. I hope you will treasure these family images the same way as we do ours.
