So so so in love with this images….. Monica and her two boys were the best models I ever had….. Yes. The best! We planned this session until the last small detail with a lot of time ahead. Location, wardrobe, makeup….. e-very-thing was perfect planned! I was going to found out that that it doesn’t matter how much you prepare for a session…. some times it just something has to run wrong. After a nice ride to Cape Code in a calm June afternoon, we arrived to our destination and with a surprise we found out the beach parking lot almost empty. Great! I thought, but I couldn’t stop wondering why in a so beautiful weather and in a “no school” Friday afternoon in June there was nobody at the beach. We got out of the car and start preparing for our photo session meanwhile the kids ran immediately to the beach. In our way to the beach a very kind woman approach us and offer us sprays agains mosquitos… Oh, how kind -we thought- accepted their offer, thanked her and started walking at the beach. It is always an exciting moment when you see the ocean and the sand for the first time after a long time. I was impressed with the colors, the breeze and the texture of the sand and started to shoot to warm up a little bit…. until we start noticing those pesky “no see ums” (an special kind of mosquitos very common in New England’s beaches). It was so bad we couldn’t barely stand quite for more than a second. We started to debate on quitting the photo session, but there was no time to book again. Monica and her kids were going to be in Boston for just a couple of days before they would start their round trip in the US ending with a final flight to South Africa. So, it was more or less that day or no photos at all! So we decided to keep going with our plans and the kids did just marvelous. With a professionalism I haven’t see so often, they focus, played, smiled, posed and follow directions. They were simply amazing.
